VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM(for TMMF Made) CALIBRATION

  1. DESCRIPTION

    • After replacing components relating to the VSC or performing "Front wheel alignment adjustment", clear and read the sensor calibration data.

    • Follow the chart to perform calibration.

Replacing Parts / Operation Necessary Operation
Skid control ECU (Brake actuator assembly)
      • 1. Deceleration sensor zero point calibration.

      • 2. Master cylinder pressure sensor zero point calibration.

Yaw rate sensor (Airbag sensor assembly)
      • 1. AT/CVT learned values initialization.

      • 2. Zero point calibration data clearance.

      • 3. Deceleration sensor zero point calibration.

  2. CLEAR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION DATA (for Using Intelligent Tester)

    1. Check that the steering wheel is in the straight ahead position.

    2. Check that the shift lever is in neutral and apply the parking brake.

    3. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    4. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    5. Turn the tester on.

    6. Select the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) to clear the zero point calibration data using the intelligent tester.

Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRC / Utility / Reset Memory.

    7. Check that the Slip indicator light comes on.

    8. Turn the ignition switch off.

  3. PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION OF MASTER CYLINDER PRESSURE SENSOR AND DECELERATION SENSOR (for Using Intelligent Tester)

    Note

    • While obtaining the zero point, do not vibrate the vehicle by tilting, moving or shaking it and keep it stationary. (Do not start the engine.)

    • While obtaining the zero point, do not press the brake pedal.

    • Perform this on a level surface (with an inclination of less than 1 degree).

    1. Procedures for Test Mode.

      1. Check that the steering wheel is in the straight ahead position.

      2. Check that the shift lever is in neutral and apply the parking brake.

      3. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

      4. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

      5. Switch the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) to Test Mode using the intelligent tester.

Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/ TRC / Utility / Test Mode.

    2. Obtain the zero points of the master cylinder pressure sensor and deceleration sensor.

      1. Keep the vehicle stationary on a level surface for 1 second or more.

        Tech Tips

        • The zero point calibration is performed only once after the system enters test mode.

        • Calibration cannot be performed again until the stored data is cleared once.

      2. Check that the Slip indicator light comes on for approximately 3 seconds.

      3. Turn the ignition switch off.

  4. CLEAR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION DATA (for Using SST Check Wire)

    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
