VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM(for TMC Made), Diagnostic DTC:C1433

DTC Code DTC Name
C1433 Steering Angle Sensor Internal Circuit

DESCRIPTION

Signals from the steering angle sensor (built into the spiral cable) are sent to the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) through CAN communication.

DTC No. DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area
C1433 With the IG1 terminal voltage 9.5 to 17.4 V, the skid control ECU receives an error signal from the steering angle sensor. Steering angle sensor (Spiral cable sub-assembly)

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

Tech Tips

  • When U0073, U0124 and/or U0126 is output together with C1433, inspect and repair the trouble areas indicated by U0073, U0124 and/or U0126 first Click here.

  • When any of the speed sensors or the yaw rate sensor (airbag sensor assembly) has trouble, DTCs for the steering angle sensor (spiral cable sub-assembly) may be output even when the steering angle sensor (spiral cable sub-assembly) is normal. When DTCs for the speed sensors or yaw rate sensor (airbag sensor assembly) are output together with DTCs for the steering angle sensor (spiral cable sub-assembly), inspect and repair the speed sensor and yaw rate sensor (airbag sensor assembly) first, and then inspect and repair the steering angle sensor (spiral cable sub-assembly).

PROCEDURE

  1. REPLACE STEERING ANGLE SENSOR (SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY)

    1. Replace the steering angle sensor (spiral cable sub-assembly) Click here.

      Note

      • Do not remove the steering sensor from the spiral cable.

      • When replacing the spiral cable sub-assembly, confirm that the replacement part is of the correct specification.
