ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM ABS Warning Light does not Come ON

DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU is connected to the combination meter via CAN communication.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

   
   

   1. Check if CAN communication system DTCs are output.

      
      

      • w/o Toyota Safety Sense Click here

2. CHECK ABS WARNING LIGHT

   
   

   1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.

   2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

   3. Check that the ABS warning light comes on.

      OK
      The ABS warning light comes on.

3. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (ABS WARNING LIGHT)

   
   

   1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

   3. Turn the tester on.

   4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRC / Data List.

   5. According to the display on the tester, read the Data List.

   6. When performing the ABS Warning Light Active Test, check ABS Warning Light in the Data List.
