ECM INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL NO. 2 ECM BRACKET (for LHD)

   
   

   1. Install the No. 2 ECM bracket to the ECM with the 2 screws.

      Torque:

      3.0 N*m  { 31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf }

2. INSTALL NO. 2 ECM BRACKET (for RHD)

   
   

   1. Install the No. 2 ECM bracket to the ECM with the 2 screws.

      Torque:

      3.0 N*m  { 31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf }

3. INSTALL NO. 1 ECM BRACKET (for LHD)

   
   

   1. Install the No. 1 ECM bracket to the ECM with the 2 screws.

      Torque:

      3.0 N*m  { 31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf }

4. INSTALL NO. 1 ECM BRACKET (for RHD)

   
   

   1. Install the No. 1 ECM bracket to the ECM with the 2 screws.

      Torque:

      3.0 N*m  { 31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf }

5. INSTALL ECM (for LHD)

   
   

   1. 

      Install the ECM to the vehicle with the bolt and nut.

      Note

      If a component has been dropped or subjected to a strong impact, replace the ECM.

      Torque:

      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

   2. Connect the 2 ECM connectors and lower the 2 levers.

      Note

      
      

      • When connecting the ECM connectors, make sure that dirt, water or other foreign matter does not contact the connecting parts of the ECM connectors.

      • Be sure to securely connect the ECM connectors.

6. INSTALL ECM (for RHD)

   
   

   1. 

      Install the ECM to the vehicle with the bolt and nut.

      Note

      If a component has been dropped or subjected to a strong impact, replace the ECM.

      Torque:

      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

   2. Connect the 2 ECM connectors and lower the 2 levers.

      • When connecting the ECM connectors, make sure that dirt, water or other foreign matter does not contact the connecting parts of the ECM connectors.

      • Be sure to securely connect the ECM connectors.

7. INSTALL OUTER COWL TOP PANEL (for LHD)

9. INSTALL INNER COWL TOP TO COWL BRACE (for LHD)

10. INSTALL INNER COWL TOP TO COWL BRACE (for RHD)

11. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 VENTILATOR SEAL (for LHD)

12. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 VENTILATOR SEAL (for RHD)

13. INSTALL FRONT AIR SHUTTER SEAL RH (for LHD)

    Click here

14. INSTALL FRONT AIR SHUTTER SEAL RH (for RHD)

15. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK

    Click here

16. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Torque:

    5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 481 in.*lbf }

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

17. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
