DESCRIPTION
w/o Entry and Start System
While the engine is being cranked, current flows from terminal ST2 of the ignition switch assembly to the clutch start switch assembly and also flows to terminal STA of the ECM (STA Signal). The ECM uses the STA signal to control the fuel injection and ignition timing when the engine starts.

Check if the engine can be cranked.

Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Turn the tester on.
Enter the following menu items: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / Starter Signal.
Check the value displayed on the tester when the ignition switch is turned to the ON and START positions.

Remove the ST relay from the engine room relay block.
Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Disconnect the ECM connector.
Remove the ST relay from the engine room relay block.
Disconnect the power management control ECU connector.
Disconnect the clutch start switch assembly connector.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
