CAMSHAFT OIL CONTROL VALVE INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL CAM TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE O-RING

   
   

   1. Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new cam timing oil control valve O-ring and install it to the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.

      Note

      Do not damage the cam timing oil control valve O-ring.

2. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Install the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly to the cylinder head sub-assembly with the bolt.

      Torque:

      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      
      

      • If a component has been dropped or subjected to a strong impact, replace the camshaft oil control valve assembly.

      • Make sure that the cam timing oil control valve O-ring is not damaged or does not jump out of position during installation.

   2. Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly connector.

3. INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD

4. INSPECT FOR ENGINE OIL LEAK

   
   

   1. Start the engine and check that there are no oil leaks.
