Tech Tips
Detection is always being performed for P0122, P0123 and P0223 when the ignition switch is ON or the engine is running.
Detection for P0222 is performed when the engine speed is 1200 rpm or higher.

Tech Tips
Read freeze frame data using the intelligent tester. Freeze frame data records the engine condition when malfunctions are detected. When troubleshooting, freeze frame data can help determine if the vehicle was moving or stationary, if the engine was warmed up or not, if the air fuel ratio was lean or rich, and other data from the time the malfunction occurred.
PROCEDURE
CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (THROTTLE WITH MOTOR BODY ASSEMBLY - ECM)
Disconnect the throttle with motor body assembly connector.
Disconnect the ECM connector.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

CHECK WHETHER DTC OUTPUT RECURS (DTC P0122, P0123, P0222 OR P0223)
Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Turn the tester on.
Clear DTCs Click here.
Turn the ignition switch off and wait for 30 seconds.
Turn the tester on.
Start the engine.
Run the engine at an engine speed of 1200 rpm or higher.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / DTC.
Read the DTCs.
