DESCRIPTION
To detect atmospheric pressure, the atmospheric pressure sensor is built into the ECM. According to changes in the atmospheric pressure, the ECM corrects the fuel injection volume, timing, and duration in order to optimize engine combustion.

Tech Tips
DTC P2228 and P2229 are detected when the engine idles for 15 seconds.

PROCEDURE
CHECK ANY OTHER DTC OUTPUT (IN ADDITION TO P2228 AND P2229)
Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Turn the tester on.
Clear DTCs Click here.
Turn the ignition switch off and wait for 30 seconds.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Turn the tester on.
Start the engine.
Allow the engine to idle for 15 seconds or more.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / DTC.
Read pending DTCs.
