SFI SYSTEM PRECAUTION


  1. INITIALIZATION

    Note


    • If the ECM is replaced, register the ECU communication ID for Engine Immobiliser System (refer to the registration procedures for Service Bulletin).

    • Perform Registration (VIN registration) when replacing the ECM Click here.

  2. WHEN USING GTS

    CAUTION:

    Observe the following items for safety reasons:

    • Before using the GTS, read the instruction manual.

    • Make sure that the GTS cable is not caught on the pedals, shift lever and steering wheel when driving with the GTS connected to the vehicle.

    • When driving the vehicle for testing purposes while using the GTS, 2 persons are required. One person drives the vehicle, the other operates the GTS.

  3. IGNITION SWITCH EXPRESSIONS


    1. The type of ignition switch used on this model differs according to the specifications of the vehicle. The expressions listed in the table below are used in this section.

  4. ELECTRONIC THROTTLE LEARNING


    1. Input the learning value of the throttle position sensor using the GTS after the following operations:


      1. ECM replacement.

      2. Throttle with motor body assembly replacement.
