SFI SYSTEM PRECAUTION

CAUTION:

When using the intelligent tester, observe the following items for safety reasons:


  • Read the intelligent tester instruction books before using the tester.

  • Make sure that the tester cable is not caught on the pedals, shift lever and steering wheel when driving with the tester connected to the vehicle.

  • When driving the vehicle for testing purposes while using the tester, 2 persons are required. One person drives the vehicle and the other operates the tester.

Note

If the ECM is replaced, register the ECU communication ID for Immobiliser System (refer to the registration procedures for Service Bulletin).


  1. IGNITION SWITCH EXPRESSIONS


    1. The type of ignition switch used on this model differs according to the specifications of the vehicle. The expressions listed in the table below are used in this section.

  2. ELECTRONIC THROTTLE LEARNING


    1. Input the learning value of the throttle position sensor using an intelligent tester after the following operations:


      1. ECM replacement.

      2. Throttle with motor body assembly replacement.
