VEHICLE PROXIMITY NOTIFICATION SYSTEM TERMINALS OF ECU

CHECK VEHICLE APPROACHING SPEAKER CONTROLLER

1. Disconnect the G90 vehicle approaching speaker controller connector.

2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Terminal No. (Symbol)	Wiring Color	Terminal Description	Condition	Specified Condition
   G90-1 (IG) - Body ground	LA-B - Body ground	IG power supply	Power switch on (IG)	11 to 14 V
   			Power switch off	Below 1 V

   If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction in the wire harness.

3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   G90-7 (GND) - Body ground	LA - Body ground	Ground	Always	Below 1 Ω

   If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction in the wire harness.

4. Reconnect the G90 vehicle approaching speaker controller connector.

5. Measure the voltage and check for pulses according to the value(s) in the table below.

   			Power switch on (IG), vehicle approaching speaker switch pressed	6 V or higher

   G90-9 (PRST) - G90-7 (GND)	P - LA	SIL communication signal	Power switch on (IG), during transmission	Pulse generation (See Waveform 3)

   			Power switch on (READY), engine stopped and shift state not park (P)	8 V or higher

   If the result is not as specified, there is a problem in the vehicle approaching speaker controller or wire harness.

      Tip:

      When the system is functioning normally, one wheel revolution generates 4 pulses. As the vehicle speed increases, the width indicated by (A) in the illustration narrows.
