REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH


    1. B004TWKC01
      *a

      Component without harness connected

      (Rear Light assembly LH)

      Apply battery voltage to the connector and check the light illumination condition.

      OK
      Tester Connection Specified Condition

      L86-2 (B) - Battery positive (+)

      L86-1 (E) - Battery negative (-)

      		 Taillights illuminate

      L86-6 (B) - Battery positive (+)

      L86-1 (E) - Battery negative (-)

      		 Stop lights illuminate
      If the result is not as specified, inspect the rear light LED.
    2. B004TWKC02
      *a

      Component without harness connected

      (Rear Light assembly LH)

      Apply battery voltage to the connector and check the light illumination condition.

      OK
      Tester Connection Specified Condition

      L86-5 (B) - Battery positive (+)

      L86-1 (E) - Battery negative (-)

      		 Back-up light illuminates

      L86-7 (TRN4) - Battery positive (+)

      L86-9 (B) - Battery positive (+)

      L86-1 (E) - Battery negative (-)

      		 Turn signal light illuminates

      L86-10 (B) - Battery positive (+)

      L86-1 (E) - Battery negative (-)

      		 Rear fog light illuminates
      If the result is not as specified, replace the rear light assembly LH.

  2. INSPECT REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH

      Component without harness connected

      (Rear Light assembly RH)

      Apply battery voltage to the connector and check the light illumination condition.

      OK
      Tester Connection Specified Condition

      L90-2 (B) - Battery positive (+)

      L90-1 (E) - Battery negative (-)

      		 Taillights illuminate

      L90-6 (B) - Battery positive (+)

      L90-1 (E) - Battery negative (-)

      		 Stop lights illuminate
      If the result is not as specified, inspect the rear light LED.

      *a

      Component without harness connected

      (Rear Light assembly RH)

      Apply battery voltage to the connector and check the light illumination condition.

      OK
      Tester Connection Specified Condition

      L90-5 (B) - Battery positive (+)

      L90-1 (E) - Battery negative (-)

      		 Back-up light illuminates

      L90-7 (TRN4) - Battery positive (+)

      L90-9 (B) - Battery positive (+)

      L90-1 (E) - Battery negative (-)

      		 Turn signal light illuminates

      L90-10 (B) - Battery positive (+)

      L90-1 (E) - Battery negative (-)

      		 Rear fog light illuminates
      If the result is not as specified, replace the rear light assembly RH.

  3. INSPECT REAR LIGHT LED

      Component without harness connected

      (Rear Light LED)

      Apply battery voltage to the connector and check the light illumination condition.

      OK
      Tester Connection Specified Condition

      3 - Battery positive (+)

      2 - Battery negative (-)

      		 Illuminates
      If the result is not as specified, replace the rear light LED.
