  1. INSPECT LEVEL WARNING SWITCH


    1. Measure resistance


      1. Add washer fluid to the washer jar with the level warning switch assembly installed to the washer jar.

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        1 (S) - 2 (E) Fluid volume is 600 to 800 cc (36.6 to 48.8 cu. in.) or more* 10 kΩ or higher
        1 (S) - 2 (E) Fluid volume is 600 to 800 cc (36.6 to 48.8 cu. in.) or less* Below 1 Ω

        Tech Tips


        • Perform checks by reducing the amount of washer fluid.

        • *: The level warning switch assembly activates when the washer fluid is 600 to 800 cc or less according to the vehicle condition (vehicle stability etc.)
