OCCUPANT DETECTION SENSOR(for Fixed Seat Type) INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT REAR SEAT CUSHION PAD (OCCUPANT DETECTION SENSOR)

   
   

   1. Check the Resistance(for RH side).

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without harness connected (Occupant Detection Sensor (Rear Seat Cushion Pad)) (for RH Side)

         Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 - 3 Seat occupied Below 100 Ω 1 - 3 Seat not occupied 1 MΩ or higher If the result is not as specified, replace the rear seat cushion pad (occupant detection sensor).

   2. Check the Resistance(for Center).

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without harness connected (Occupant Detection Sensor (Rear Seat Cushion Pad)) (for Center)

         Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 - 3 Seat occupied Below 100 Ω 1 - 3 Seat not occupied 1 MΩ or higher If the result is not as specified, replace the rear seat cushion pad (occupant detection sensor).

   3. Check the Resistance(for LH side).

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without harness connected (Occupant Detection Sensor (Rear Seat Cushion Pad)) (for LH Side)

         Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 - 3 Seat occupied Below 100 Ω 1 - 3 Seat not occupied 1 MΩ or higher If the result is not as specified, replace the rear seat cushion pad (occupant detection sensor).
