PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT FRONT SEAT HEADREST INSERT SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Check the operation of the motor.

        Component without harness connected

        (Front Seat Headrest Insert Sub-Assembly LH)
        B004RMI Frontward
        B004T3S Backward

        Check that the front seat headrest insert sub-assembly LH moves smoothly when the auxiliary battery is connected to the motor connector terminals.

        OK
        Tester Connection Operational Direction

        S17-5 - Auxiliary battery positive (+)

        S17-8 - Auxiliary battery negative (-)

        		 Frontward

        S17-8 - Auxiliary battery positive (+)

        S17-5 - Auxiliary battery negative (-)

        		 Backward
        If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat headrest insert sub-assembly LH.

  2. INSPECT FRONT SEAT HEADREST INSERT SUB-ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Check the operation of the motor.


      1. B004W8HC05

        Component without harness connected

        (Front Seat Headrest Insert Sub-Assembly RH)
        B004RMI Frontward
        B004T3S Backward

        Check that the front seat headrest insert sub-assembly RH moves smoothly when the auxiliary battery is connected to the motor connector terminals.

        S9-5 - Auxiliary battery positive (+)

        S9-8 - Auxiliary battery negative (-)

        		 Frontward

        S9-8 - Auxiliary battery positive (+)

        S9-5 - Auxiliary battery negative (-)

        		 Backward
        If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat headrest insert sub-assembly RH.

  3. INSPECT FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY


    1. Check the operation of the motor.

        Component without harness connected

        (Front Seat Headrest Assembly)
        B004RMI Upward
        B004T3S Downward

        Check that the front seat headrest assembly moves smoothly when the auxiliary battery is connected to the motor connector terminals.

        OK
        Tester Connection Operational Direction

        2 - Auxiliary battery positive (+)

        1 - Auxiliary battery negative (-)

        		 Upward

        1 - Auxiliary battery positive (+)

        2 - Auxiliary battery negative (-)

        		 Downward
        If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat headrest assembly.
