FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

   INSPECT FRONT SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Slide Motor (Front Seat Adjuster Assembly LH))

      Check the operation of the slide motor.

      
      

      1. Check that the front seat adjuster assembly LH moves smoothly when the auxiliary battery is connected to the slide motor connector terminals.

         OK
         Tester Connection Operational Direction Q21-4 - Auxiliary battery positive (+) Q21-1 - Auxiliary battery negative (-) Forward Q21-1 - Auxiliary battery positive (+) Q21-4 - Auxiliary battery negative (-) Backward If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat adjuster assembly LH.

   2. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Front Vertical Motor (Front Seat Adjuster Assembly LH))

      Check the operation of the front vertical motor.

      
      

      1. Check that the front seat adjuster assembly LH moves smoothly when the auxiliary battery is connected to the front vertical motor connector terminals.

         OK
         Tester Connection Operational Direction Q23-1 - Auxiliary battery positive (+) Q23-4 - Auxiliary battery negative (-) Upward Q23-4 - Auxiliary battery positive (+) Q23-1 - Auxiliary battery negative (-) Downward If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat adjuster assembly LH.

   3. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Rear Lifter Motor (Front Seat Adjuster Assembly LH))

      Check the operation of the rear lifter motor.

      
      

      1. Check that the front seat adjuster assembly LH moves smoothly when the auxiliary battery is connected to the rear lifter motor connector terminals.

         OK
         Tester Connection Operational Direction Q22-1 - Auxiliary battery positive (+) Q22-4 - Auxiliary battery negative (-) Upward Q22-4 - Auxiliary battery positive (+) Q22-1 - Auxiliary battery negative (-) Downward If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat adjuster assembly LH.

   4. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Ottoman Motor (Front Seat Adjuster Assembly LH))

      w/ Ottoman:

      Check the operation of the rear ottoman motor.

      
      

      1. Check that the front seat adjuster assembly LH moves smoothly when the auxiliary battery is connected to the ottoman motor connector terminals.

         OK
         Tester Connection Operational Direction Q24-4 - Auxiliary battery positive (+) Q24-1 - Auxiliary battery negative (-) Forward Q24-1 - Auxiliary battery positive (+) Q24-4 - Auxiliary battery negative (-) Backward If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat adjuster assembly LH.

   INSPECT FRONT SEATBACK FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Component without harness connected (Reclining Motor (Front Seatback Frame Sub-assembly LH))

      Check the operation of the reclining motor.

      
      

      1. Check that the front seatback frame sub-assembly LH moves smoothly when the auxiliary battery is connected to the reclining motor connector terminals.

         OK
         Tester Connection Operational Direction S15-1 - Auxiliary battery positive (+) S15-4 - Auxiliary battery negative (-) Forward S15-4 - Auxiliary battery positive (+) S15-1 - Auxiliary battery negative (-) Backward If the result is not as specified, replace the front seatback frame sub-assembly LH.

         Tester Connection Operational Direction Q2-1 - Auxiliary battery positive (+) Q2-4 - Auxiliary battery negative (-) Upward Q2-4 - Auxiliary battery positive (+) Q2-1 - Auxiliary battery negative (-) Downward If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat adjuster assembly RH.

      *a	Component without harness connected (Rear Lifter Motor (Front Seat Adjuster Assembly RH))

      Check the operation of the rear lifter motor.

      
      

      1. Check that the front seat adjuster assembly RH moves smoothly when the auxiliary battery is connected to the rear lifter motor connector terminals.

         Tester Connection Operational Direction Q3-1 - Auxiliary battery positive (+) Q3-4 - Auxiliary battery negative (-) Upward Q3-4 - Auxiliary battery positive (+) Q3-1 - Auxiliary battery negative (-) Downward If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat adjuster assembly RH.

      *a	Component without harness connected (Ottoman Motor (Front Seat Adjuster Assembly RH))

      w/ Ottoman:

      Check the operation of the rear ottoman motor.

      
      

      1. Check that the front seat adjuster assembly RH moves smoothly when the auxiliary battery is connected to the ottoman motor connector terminals.
