DESCRIPTION

The air conditioning amplifier assembly receives ventilation volume switch signals when the power switch is on (IG), and then transmits airflow amount signals to each seat climate blower.

Note:
  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.

  • The climate control seat system uses the CAN communication system. Inspect the communication function by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting. Troubleshoot the climate control seat system after confirming that the communication system is functioning properly.

  • If the auxiliary battery voltage is low, the climate control seat system may not operate. When "High Power Consumption Partial Limit On AC/Heater Operation" is displayed on the multi-information display in the combination meter assembly, inspect the auxiliary battery, referring to On-vehicle Inspection for the charging system.

Tip:

If the auxiliary battery voltage is low, the climate control seat system may not operate. When "High Power Consumption Partial Limit On AC/Heater Operation" is not displayed on the multi-information display in the combination meter assembly, check the Data List item "Battery Control Count (Body ECU)".

    1. Check the climate control seat operation.

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER ASSEMBLY RH - REAR SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER RH)


    1. Disconnect the T1 rear seat cushion climate control blower assembly RH connector.

    2. Disconnect the R10 rear seatback climate control blower RH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      T1-5 (CTB) - R10-1 (IG) Always Below 1 Ω
      T1-5 (CTB) or R10-1 (IG) - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      T1-6 (BBS) - R10-3 (BFB+) Always Below 1 Ω
      T1-6 (BBS) or R10-3 (BFB+) - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      T1-4 (BFB-) - R10-4 (GND) Always Below 1 Ω
      T1-4 (BFB-) or R10-4 (GND) - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
