  1. Note:

    • When the customer requests a change in a function, first make sure that the function can be customized.

    • Make a note of the current settings before customizing.

    Tip:

    The following PCS functions and the pre-collision system sensitivity setting can be changed from their default setting.

    CUSTOMIZE PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM


    1. Customizing with the multi-information display


      1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

      2. Change pre-collision system settings by operating steering pad switch.

        Customize Setting Description Setting Default Setting
        PCS Setting of pre-collision function On or Off On
        Sensitivity Setting of pedestrian alert and FCTA timing Near, Middle or Far Middle
        CAUTION Setting of pedestrian alert and FCTA On or Off On

    2. Customizing with the GTS


      1. Turn the power switch off.

      2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

      3. Turn the power switch on (IG).

      4. Turn the GTS on.

      5. Enter the following menus: Customize Setting / Others.

      6. Select the setting by referring to the table below.

        Customize Setting Description Setting
        PCS Function ON/OFF State Stored Function to maintain the pre-collision system on/off setting when the power switch is turned on (IG) from off with the pre-collision function off.

        Not stored: Pre-collision system always turns on

        Stored: Pre-collision system maintains off
        PCS Warning Timing State Stored 1 Function to maintain the sensitivity and caution settings of the pedestrian alert and FCTA when the power switch is turned on (IG) from off with the pre-collision system on.

        Not stored: Sensitivity and CAUTION is reset to default setting

        Stored: Sensitivity and CAUTION settings are maintained as previous value
        PCS Warning Timing State Stored 2 Function to maintain the sensitivity and caution settings of the pedestrian alert and FCTA when the power switch is turned on (IG) from off with the pre-collision system off.

        Not stored: Sensitivity and CAUTION is reset to default setting

        Stored: Sensitivity and CAUTION settings are maintained as previous value
        PCS Warning Timing State Stored 3 Function to maintain the sensitivity and caution settings of the pedestrian alert and FCTA when the pre-collision system is turned on from off with the power switch on (IG).

        Not stored: Sensitivity and CAUTION is reset to default setting
