PROCEDURE

    INSTALL SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR

      B004SZX Positioning Pin
      B004UK4 Positioning Hole

      Align the positioning pin of the seat position airbag sensor and the positioning hole of the bracket, insert a washer in between the parts and set the parts into place.

      Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, install a new "TORX" bolt.

      8.0 N・m 82 kgf・cm
      Note:

      Do not reuse the "TORX" bolt.

      B004RMI Install in this Direction

      Install the seat slide position sensor protector to the bracket.

      Set the seat position airbag sensor together with the seat slide position sensor protector as shown in the illustration.

      Note:

      Do not subject the seat position airbag sensor to any strong impact (such as dropping).

      *a Check Location

      Check that the bracket protrusion is in the positioning hole of the front seat assembly LH and temporarily install a new "TORX" bolt and washer.

    6. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, tighten the "TORX" bolt.

      Check that the bracket protrusion is in the positioning hole of the front seat assembly LH again.

      *a 0.6 to 2 mm (0.024 to 0.079 in.)

      B004VGX Feeler Gauge

      Using a feeler gauge, measure the clearance between the seat position airbag sensor and seat rail.

      Standard
      0.6 to 2.0 mm (0.024 to 0.079 in.)
      Note:

      • Do not reuse parts if dropped or subjected to any strong impact during operation.

      • Check that a 1.3 mm (0.052 in.)clearance is maintained between the seat position airbag sensor and seat rail.

    9. If the result is not as specified, loosen the installation "TORX" bolt of the seat position airbag sensor and adjust the clearance.

      Tip:

      With the adjustment support as an axis, adjust the clearance by moving the seat position airbag sensor up or down.

      Connect the connector.

    11. Check that there is no looseness in the installed seat position airbag sensor.
