The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed or replaced during the seat position airbag sensor removal/installation are shown below.

    Note

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  3. REMOVE SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. B004RSB

      Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the "TORX" bolt and washer.

      Note

      Do not reuse the "TORX" bolt.

      Remove the seat position airbag sensor together with the seat slide position sensor protector as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      It may be slightly difficult to remove due to the magnetic force.

      B004RMI Remove in this Direction

      Slide the seat slide position sensor protector and remove it.

    5. B004VWL

      Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the "TORX" bolt and seat position airbag sensor from the bracket.

      Note

      Do not reuse the "TORX" bolt.

      Tech Tips

      There is a washer between the seat position airbag sensor and the bracket.
