LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

   INSPECT LUGGAGE DOOR CLOSER ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Check the close operation of the luggage door closer assembly.

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Component without harness connected (Luggage Door Closer Assembly)
         *b	Full latch
         *c	Half-latch
         *d	Open latch

         Set the luggage door closer assembly to the half-latch position.

      2. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the luggage door closer motor and check the operation of the luggage door closer motor.

         OK
         Tester Connection Specified Condition L12-8 (M+) - Auxiliary battery positive (+) L12-1 (M-) - Auxiliary battery negative (-) Moves to full latch position

         Tip:

         If the result is not as specified, replace the luggage door closer assembly.

   2. Check the open operation of the luggage door closer assembly.

      
      

      1. Set the luggage door closer assembly to the full-latch position.

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Specified Condition L12-1 (M-) - Auxiliary battery positive (+) L12-8 (M+) - Auxiliary battery negative (-) Moves to open latch position

         Tip:

         If the result is not as specified, replace the luggage compartment door lock assembly.
