DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) receives door key cylinder lock or unlock switch signals from the front door with motor lock assembly (for Driver Door). The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) activates the door lock motor on each door according to these signals.

PROCEDURE


  1. Click here

    READ VALUE USING GTS (Door Key SW-Lock, D Door Key SW-UL)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.


      1. Body Electrical > Main Body > Data List

        Door Key SW-Lock Driver door key-linked switch lock signal OFF or ON

        OFF: Driver door key cylinder not turned to lock position

        ON: Driver door key cylinder turned to lock position

        OFF: Driver door key cylinder not turned to unlock position

        ON: Driver door key cylinder turned to unlock position

    INSPECT FRONT DOOR WITH MOTOR LOCK ASSEMBLY (for Driver Door)


    1. Remove the front door with motor lock assembly (for Driver Door).

    2. Inspect the front door with motor lock assembly (for Driver Door).

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT DOOR WITH MOTOR LOCK ASSEMBLY (for Driver Door) - MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the H23*1 or H6*2 front door with motor lock assembly (for Driver Door) connector.


      • *1: for LHD

      • *2: for RHD

    2. Disconnect the G17 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      for LHD
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H23-7 (L) - G17-18 (L2) Always Below 1 Ω
      H23-8 (UL) - G17-17 (UL3) Always Below 1 Ω
      H23-9 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      H23-7 (L) or G17-18 (L2) - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H23-8 (UL) or G17-17 (UL3) - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      for RHD

      H6-8 (L) - G17-18 (L2) Always Below 1 Ω
      H6-7 (UL) - G17-17 (UL3) Always Below 1 Ω
