DESCRIPTION

The hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly communicates with the battery state sensor assembly via LIN communication. If a LIN communication error is detected, the hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly stores this DTC.

PROCEDURE

    CHECK BATTERY STATE SENSOR ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION CONDITION


    1. Check installation condition of the battery state sensor assembly.

      Result
      Proceed to

      NG

  2. Click here

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)


    1. Check that the battery state sensor assembly connector is securely connected.

      OK
      The connector is securely connected.

    2. Disconnect the P5 battery state sensor assembly connector.

    3. Check the connector case and terminals for deformation or corrosion.

      OK
      No deformation or corrosion.

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P5-1 (+B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V

      REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY - BATTERY STATE SENSOR ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the A76 hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the P5 battery state sensor assembly connector.

    3. Disconnect the D23 compressor with motor assembly connector.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance (Check for Open)
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A76-12 (LIN3) - P5-2 (LIN) Always Below 1 Ω
      Standard Resistance (Check for Short)
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P5-2(LIN), A76-12 (LIN3) or D23-3 (DOUT) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    CLEAR DTCS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.

    5. Check for DTCs, and note down any DTCs that are output.

    6. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.

    7. Clear the DTCs.

    CLEAR DTCS (AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM)


    1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    2. Turn the GTS on.

    3. Enter the following menus: Electrical / Air Conditioner / Trouble Codes.

    4. Check for DTCs, and note down any DTCs that are output.

      1. Body Electrical > Air Conditioner > Trouble Codes


    5. Enter the following menus: Electrical / Air Conditioner / Trouble Codes.

    6. Clear the DTCs.
