This DTC is stored when a malfunction is detected caused by over-charging against the battery capacity of the sub-battery.

The details of a DTC can be checked by using the DTC Sub Code of the freeze frame data that was recorded when the DTC was output.

Tip:

Read freeze frame data using the GTS. Freeze frame data records the sub-battery module assembly condition when malfunctions are detected.

PROCEDURE

    INSPECT CHARGING SYSTEM


    1. Inspect charging system.

      REPAIR OR REPLACE CHARGING SYSTEM

  2. Click here

    CHARGE SUB-BATTERY MODULE ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Clear the DTCs.


      1. Body Electrical > Sub Battery Module > Clear DTCs


    5. Turn the power switch off and wait for at least 30 seconds.

    6. Turn the power switch on (IG) and turn the GTS on.

    7. Put the engine in Inspection Mode (2WD for measuring Exhaust Gas).

    8. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Sub Battery Module / Data List / Sub Battery Module State of Charge.


      1. Body Electrical > Sub Battery Module > Data List
        Tester Display
        Sub Battery Module State of Charge




    9. Start the engine and while idling, perform charging until the "Sub Battery Module State of Charge" reaches at least 20%*.

      Tip:

      *: Depending on the current charge of the sub-battery, it may take more than 30 minutes for the SOC (State of Charge) to reach 20% or more.
