Note:
  • Depending on the parts that are replaced during vehicle inspection or maintenance, performing initialization, registration or calibration may be needed. Refer to Precaution for G-BOOK.

  • When replacing the telematics transceiver, make sure to replace it with a new one.

PROCEDURE


  1. Click here

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER - MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the G56 telematics transceiver connector.

    2. Disconnect the N9 map light assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G56-9 (SLED) - N9-29 (RRID) Always Below 1 Ω
      G56-26 (SIG-) - N9-32 (GND3) Always Below 1 Ω
      G56-9 (SLED) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G56-26 (SIG-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    INSPECT MAP LAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the map light assembly.

      Click here

    2. Connect 4 1.5 V dry-cell batteries in series.

    3. Connect a positive lead from the batteries to terminal 29 (RRID), and a negative lead to terminal 32 (GND3) of the map light assembly connector.

    4. Check if the illumination for the emergency call switch comes on.
