DESCRIPTION

Power is supplied to the radio receiver assembly and steering pad switch assembly when the light control switch is in the tail or head position.

    CHECK METER / GAUGE SYSTEM


    1. Check if the rheostat function operates normally.

      OK
      The rheostat function operates normally.

    CHECK LIGHTING SYSTEM (INT)


    1. Check if the instrument panel illumination comes on normally.

      OK
      The instrument panel illumination comes on normally.

    CHECK ILLUMINATION


    1. Check if the illumination for the steering pad switch assembly or radio receiver assembly comes on when the light control switch is turned to the head or tail position.

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ILLUMINATION SIGNAL CIRCUIT)


    1. Disconnect the G27 spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      G27-14 (IL+2) - Body ground

      Power switch on (IG)

      Light control switch in the tail or head position

      		 11 to 14 V

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
