DESCRIPTION

The radio receiver assembly and multi-display controller sub-assembly are connected via MOST communication lines.

When a MOST communication error occurs between the radio receiver assembly and multi-display controller sub-assembly, this DTC will be stored.

  1. CHECK OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING)


    1. Check that optional components (including associated wiring) which generate radio waves are not installed.

      • Electrical noise from radio waves generated by optional components or the wiring for those components may affect MOST communication.

      • This DTC may be stored when a MOST communication error occurs due to electrical noise.

    1. Remove optional components (including associated wiring).

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-DISPLAY CONTROLLER SUB-ASSEMBLY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the L138 multi-display controller sub-assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance:
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L138-14 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage:
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L138-1 (+B) - Body ground Power switch off 11 to 14 V

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-DISPLAY CONTROLLER SUB-ASSEMBLY - RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the L161 multi-display controller sub-assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the G136 radio receiver assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L161-5 (MO+) - G136-2 (MI+) Always Below 1 Ω
      L161-6 (MO-) - G136-3 (MI-) Always Below 1 Ω
      L161-7 (SLDO) - G136-4 (SLDI) Always Below 1 Ω
      L161-5 (MO+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L161-6 (MO-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L161-7 (SLDO) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  7. REPLACE MULTI-DISPLAY CONTROLLER SUB-ASSEMBLY
