CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note:

When replacing the radio receiver assembly, always replace it with a new one.

If a radio receiver assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the following may occur:

  • A communication malfunction DTC may be stored.

  • The radio receiver assembly may not operate normally.

Tip:

Depending on the parts that are replaced during vehicle inspection or maintenance, performing initialization, registration or calibration may be needed. Refer to Precaution for Audio and Visual System.

    CHECK "Wi-Fi" CONNECTION SETTING

    1. Check that the following "Wi-Fi" connection setting conditions are met.

      • "Wi-Fi" connection setting is turned on

      • Communication setting is set to "Wi-Fi"

    CHECK ENVIRONMENT AND PROCEDURES

    1. Check the conditions and procedure for establishing a "Wi-Fi" connection, and perform "Wi-Fi" connection again.

      Tip:
      • As there may be wave interference, disconnect other "Wi-Fi" compatible devices (Miracast compatible devices) or "Bluetooth" compatible devices before establishing a "Wi-Fi" connection.

      • A "Wi-Fi" connection can be established manually or automatically.

      • There are 3 ways to establish a manual connection: Connecting using simple setting, connecting by searching for a "Wi-Fi" access point and inputting a password, and connecting by inputting an SSID and password.

      • Even though an automatic connection is enabled, a connection can be established only when a "Wi-Fi" access point with the same SSID and password that were used for a previous connection exists.

      • It may not be possible to establish a "Wi-Fi" connection in a region other than the region where the vehicle was purchased.

      Result
      Result Proceed to
"Wi-Fi" connection can be established. A
"Wi-Fi" connection cannot be established. B

    CHECK PORTABLE DEVICE

    1. Bring a portable device to be used to establish a "Wi-Fi" connection into the cabin and perform "Wi-Fi" connection again near the in-vehicle device.

      Tip:
      • Considering the radio wave environment around the vehicle, move the vehicle and establish a "Wi-Fi" connection.

      • Depending on the portable device, operation by the customer (Internet sharing, tethering settings, etc.) may be required each time a "Wi-Fi" connection is established.

      Result Proceed to
"Wi-Fi" connection can be established. A
"Wi-Fi" connection cannot be established. B
