DESCRIPTION

The steering vibration and heater ECU communicates with the air conditioning amplifier assembly via LIN communication.

B14B7 is output when a communication malfunction is detected with the air conditioner amplifier assembly and steering vibration and heater ECU (steering wheel assembly).

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEERING VIBRATION AND HEATER ECU POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)


    1. Disconnect the G28 spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G28-4 (BHT) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      G28-4 (BHT) - Body ground Power switch off Below 1 V
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G28-2 (EHT) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    1. Disconnect the G28 spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the G65 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G28-3 (LIN) - G65-14 (LIN1) Always Below 1 Ω

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SPIRAL WITH SENSOR CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY - AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY AND AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the G28 spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the G65 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    3. Disconnect the G80 air conditioning control assembly connector.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G28-3 (LIN) - G65-14 (LIN1) Always Below 1 Ω
      G28-3 (LIN), G65-14 (LIN1) or G80-3 (LIN1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    CHECK FOR DTCs


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      1. Body Electrical > Air Conditioner > Clear DTCs


    2. Disconnect the G80 air conditioning control assembly connector.

    3. Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      Tip:

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

    4. Check for DTCs.

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.
