HEATED STEERING WHEEL SYSTEM SYSTEM DESCRIPTION


  1. HEATED STEERING WHEEL SYSTEM


    1. The heated steering wheel system heats the steering wheel assembly when the steering wheel heater switch (multi-display assembly) is operated.

    2. The heated steering wheel system uses a thermistor inside of the steering wheel assembly to detect the heater temperature and maintain the set temperature.

    3. When the automatic steering wheel heater is set to on, the external and internal temperature is detected and an automatic judgment control heats the steering wheel automatically when the power switch is turned on (IG).

  2. HEATER CONTROLLER SYSTEM

      1. When the power switch is on (IG), pressing the steering wheel heater switch (multi-display assembly) illuminates the steering wheel heater indicator and current is output to the steering wheel heater unit. Pressing the steering wheel heater switch (multi-display assembly) again turns off the indicator and stops the current from being output.

      2. A thermostat is installed in the steering wheel heater unit as a safety mechanism.

      3. Steering vibration and heater ECU has diagnosis function, refer to the fail-safe chart.
