  1. TEST MODE

    Tip:
    • All test mode DTCs are stored at once when the test mode is entered. The DTC record is cleared if the inspection determines the ECU to be normal.

    • Test mode DTCs do not indicate a malfunction.

    • When the system is switched from test mode to normal mode, all the test mode DTCs are cleared.


    1. Procedure to enter Test Mode.


      1. Turn the power switch off.

      2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

      3. Turn the power switch on (IG).

      4. Turn the GTS on.

      5. Enter the following menus: Chassis / VGRS / Utility / Check Mode.


        1. Chassis > VGRS > Utility
          Tester Display
          Check Mode




    2. Check the Test Mode display.


      1. Check that "VGRS TEST MODE" is displayed on the multi-information display when the system enters Test Mode.

    3. Check the steering sensor signal and motor rotation signal.


      1. Turn the power switch on (READY).

      2. Rotate the steering wheel slowly from lock to lock.

        Tip:
        • The state of the master warning light does not change.

        • When the steering signal is confirmed to be normal, the test mode DTC C15C4 is cleared.

        • When the steering sensor zero point calibration is performed and the motor rotation signal is confirmed to be normal, the test mode DTC C15C5 is cleared.

    4. Ending test mode.


      1. Turn the power switch off.

      2. After turning the power switch on (IG), check that "VGRS TEST MODE" is not displayed on the multi-information display.

  2. TEST MODE DTC


    1. If a trouble code is output during the DTC check, check the trouble area indicated by the DTC. For details of each code, proceed to the DTC chart.
