POWER STEERING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM

• The rack and pinion power steering gear assembly stores a DTC when it detects a malfunction in the ECU and power steering system circuit.(Click here)

• GTS enables stored DTCs to be checked and cleared, sensors to be calibrated, assist map to be written, and freeze frame data and Data List to be monitored.

CHECK DLC3

1. Check the DLC3.

   Click here

CHECK WARNING LIGHT

1. Turn the power switch on (IG) and check the EPS warning light.

   OK
   Illuminates the EPS warning light.

   Tip:

   If the EPS warning light does not illuminate, check the EPS warning light circuit.

2. Turn the power switch on (READY) and check the EPS warning light.

   OK
   EPS warning light off

   Tip:

   If the EPS warning light does not turn off, check the EPS warning light circuit.
