POWER TRUNK LID SYSTEM Power Trunk Lid does not Operate Using Outside Switch

DESCRIPTION

The door control switch signal is sent to the luggage closer motor assembly.

If the power trunk lid does not operate using the door control switch, a door control switch circuit malfunction is a possible cause.

Note

If the replacement, removal and installation of the luggage closer motor assembly or disconnection of the connectors of the luggage closer motor assembly has been performed, initialize the power trunk lid system.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

      Body Electrical > Back Door > Data List

      OFF: Door control switch off

      ON: Door control switch on

  2. INSPECT DOOR CONTROL SWITCH


    1. Remove the door control switch.

    2. Inspect the door control switch.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DOOR CONTROL SWITCH - LUGGAGE CLOSER MOTOR ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the L16 door control switch connector.

    2. Disconnect the L10 luggage closer motor assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L16-4 (CSW) - L10-4 (LDDN) Always Below 1 Ω
      L16-1 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      L16-4 (CSW) or L10-4 (LDDN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
