REAR AIR CONDITIONING UNIT REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE

1. Click here

   INSTALL REAR COOLING UNIT EXPANSION VALVE

2. Click here

   INSTALL NO. 2 AIR CONDITIONING TUBE AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Remove the vinyl tape from the No. 2 air conditioning tube and accessory assembly and the connecting part of the expansion valve.

   2. Apply a sufficient amount of compressor oil (ND-OIL 8) to the 2 new O-rings and the fitting surface of the No. 2 air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.

      Note:

      Keep the O-rings and O-ring fitting surfaces free of foreign matter.

   3. Evaporator side

      
      
      1. 

         Install the 2 O-rings to the No. 2 air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.

      2. Install the No. 2 air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.

         Note:

         Make sure not to cut the O-ring while installing it. (Cut O-rings cannot be installed)

   4. 

      Underfloor piping side:

      
      

      1. Install the 2 O-rings to the No. 2 air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.

      2. Using a hexagon wrench (4 mm), install the No. 2 air conditioning tube and accessory assembly with the 2 bolts.

         3.5 N*m

         36 kgf*cm

         31 in.*lbf

         Note:

         Make sure not to cut the O-ring while installing it. (Cut O-rings cannot be installed)

   5. 

      Install the expansion cover.

   6. Apply butyl tape on top of the No. 2 air conditioning tube and accessory assembly openings so that they are not exposed.

3. Click here

   INSTALL REAR EVAPORATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   
   1. 

      Apply a sufficient amount of compressor oil (ND-OIL 8) to 2 new O-rings and the fitting surface of the rear evaporator.

      Note:

      Keep the O-rings and O-ring fitting surfaces free of foreign matter.

   2. Install the 2 O-rings to the rear evaporator.

   3. 

      Install the rear evaporator to the lower case.

   4. 

      Attach the claw and guide and install the upper case.

   5. 

      Install the 12 screws.

   6. 

      Install the packing to the discharge area.

   7. 

      Install the intake case with the 4 screws.

4. Click here

   INSTALL AIR CONDITIONING TUBE AND ACCESSORY SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Remove the vinyl tape from the air conditioning tube and accessory sub-assembly and the connecting part of the unit.

   2. Apply a sufficient amount of compressor oil (ND-OIL 8) to 2 new O-rings and the fitting surface of the rear evaporator.

      Note:

      Keep the O-rings and O-ring fitting surfaces free of foreign matter.

   3. Install the 2 O-rings to the air conditioning tube and accessory sub-assembly.

   4. 

      	Hexagon bolt
      	Air conditioning tube

      Using a hexagon wrench (4 mm), install the air conditioning tube and accessory sub-assembly with the 2 bolts.

      3.5 N・m

      36 kgf・cm

      Note:

      Make sure not to cut the O-ring while installing it. (Cut O-rings cannot be installed)

   5. Connect the hose.

5. Click here

   INSTALL COOLER BRACKET

   
   
   1. 

      Install the 3 cooler brackets with the 3 screws.

   2. 

      	Bolt
      	Screw

      Install the cooler bracket with the 2 screws and bolt.

   3. 

      Install the cooler bracket with the screw.

   4. 

      Install the cooler bracket with the screw.

6. Click here

   INSTALL REAR BLOWER WITH FAN MOTOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   
   1. 

      Install the rear blower motor with fan sub-assembly with the 3 screws.

   2. 

      Install the cooler bracket with the screw.

7. Click here

   INSTALL NO. 1 REAR COOLING UNIT DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   
   1. 

      for RH:

      
      

      1. Install the No. 1 rear cooling unit damper servo sub-assembly with the 2 screws.

   2. 

      for LH:

      
      

      1. Install the No. 1 rear cooling unit damper servo sub-assembly with the 2 screws.

8. Click here

   INSTALL NO. 2 COOLER UNIT DRAIN HOSE

   
   
   1. 

      Install the No. 2 cooler unit drain hose as shown in the illustration.

9. Click here

   INSTALL AIR DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   
   1. 

      Install the air duct sub-assembly with the 3 screws.

10. Click here

    INSTALL NO. 2 AIR CONDITIONING HARNESS ASSEMBLY

    
    
    1. 

       Attach the clamp, connect the 3 connectors and install the No. 2 wiring air indicator harness to the upper unit case.
