FRONT CRANKSHAFT OIL SEAL INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL TIMING CHAIN CASE OIL SEAL


    1. Apply MP grease to the lip of a new timing chain case oil seal.

      Note

      Keep the lip free of foreign matter.

      *a Oil Seal Protrusion Height

      Using SST and a hammer, tap in the oil seal until its surface is flush with the timing chain case edge.

      0 to 1.0 mm (0 to 0.0394 in.)

      Note


      • Keep the lip free of foreign matter.

      • Do not tap in the timing chain case oil seal at an angle.

  2. INSTALL CRANKSHAFT TIMING GEAR KEY


    1. Install the crankshaft timing gear key to the key groove.

  3. INSTALL CRANKSHAFT PULLEY

      *a Hold
      B004SZX Turn

      Align the crankshaft timing gear key with the key groove of the crankshaft pulley, and slide on the crankshaft pulley.

    2. Using SST, install the crankshaft pulley bolt.

      Torque:
      260 N*m  { 2651 kgf*cm, 192 ft.*lbf }
  4. CONNECT HEATER ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY


    1. B004X9GC01
      *a Stopper

      Install the nut and connect the heater accessory assembly.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

      Note

      Install with a stopper on the seating surface of the transmission oil cooler bracket.

  5. INSTALL WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET

  6. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT

  7. ADD ENGINE OIL

    Click here

  8. INSPECT ENGINE OIL LEVEL

  9. INSPECT FOR OIL LEAK
