HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM Pattern Select Switch Sport Mode Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When the SPORT mode switch (satellite switch set) is operated to the SPORT mode side, the SPORT mode signal is sent to the hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly, and drive torque is controlled so that sporty driving is enabled in response to operation of the accelerator pedal by the driver.

PROCEDURE

   1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

   3. Turn the GTS on.

   4. Enter the following menus: System Select / CAN Bus Check.

      Result
      Result Proceed to All of the ECUs and sensors that are currently connected to the CAN communication system are displayed. A None of the ECUs and sensors that are currently connected to the CAN communication system are displayed, or some of them are not displayed. B

   4. Enter the following menus: System Select / Health Check.

   5. Check for DTCs.

      Result
      Result Proceed to No DTCs are output. A DTCs are output. B

   1. Disconnect the G49 sport mode switch (satellite switch set) connector.

   2. 

      *a	Front view of wire harness connector (to Sport Mode Switch (Satellite Switch Set))

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition G49-7 (GND) - Body ground Power switch off Below 1 Ω

   3. Reconnect the G49 sport mode switch (satellite switch set) connector.

      Result

   1. Disconnect the G92 hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connector.

   2. Disconnect the G49 sport mode switch (satellite switch set) connector.

   3. 

      *a	Rear view of wire harness connector (to Hybrid Vehicle Control ECU Assembly)
      *b	Front view of wire harness connector (to Sport Mode Switch (Satellite Switch Set))

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition G92-16 (SPRT) - G49-3 (P) Power switch off Below 1 Ω G92-16 (SPRT) or G49-3 (P) - Body ground Power switch off 10 kΩ or higher G92-10 (NORM) - G49-2 (B) Power switch off Below 1 Ω G92-10 (NORM) or G49-2 (B) - Body ground Power switch off 10 kΩ or higher

   4. Reconnect the G49 sport mode switch (satellite switch set) connector.

   5. Reconnect the G92 hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connector.

      Result
