HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM Shift Paddle Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When the shift state is in manual (M), the shift range position can be changed freely using the shift paddle switch of the transmission shift switch assembly.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (SPORTS SHIFT UP SIGNAL, SPORTS SHIFT DOWN SIGNAL)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List / Sports Shift UP Signal, Sports Shift DOWN Signal.

      Tester Display
      Sports Shift UP Signal
      Sports Shift DOWN Signal
    4. Read the value displayed on the GTS.

    1. Disconnect the G93 hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connector.

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below when the shift paddle switch (transmission shift switch assembly) is moved to each position.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SPIRAL CABLE WITH SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the G27 spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the G93 hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  4. INSPECT SPIRAL CABLE WITH SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly.

    2. Set the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly to the center position.

      Measure the resistance between the terminals of the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly according to the value(s) in the table below.


      1. After setting the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly to the center position, rotate the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly 2.5 times clockwise and measure the resistance. Then rotate the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly 2.5 times counterclockwise and measure the resistance.

      2. After setting the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly to the center position, rotate the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly 2.5 times clockwise. Then while rotating the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly 5 times counterclockwise, measure the resistance.

      As the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly may break, do not rotate the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly more than the specified amount.

    4. Install the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly.
