CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note:

  • Do not replace the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly with the battery connected and the power switch on (IG).

  • Do not rotate the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly without the steering wheel assembly installed, with the battery connected and the power switch on (IG).

  • Ensure that the steering wheel assembly is installed and aligned straight when inspecting the steering sensor.

PROCEDURE

    INSTALL NO. 1 SWITCH WIRE

      *a No. 1 Switch Wire Harness Junction *b No. 1 Switch Wire Blue Connector
      *c Front Side *d Back Side

      Connect the 2 guides and install the No. 1 switch wire to the lower steering wheel boss cover.

      Note:

      • Install the No. 1 switch wire harness junction so that it is inside the left guide as shown in the illustration.

      • Install the blue connector of the No. 1 switch wire to the transmission shift switch LH.

    INSTALL TRANSMISSION SHIFT SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. for Transmission Shift Switch Assembly LH Side:

        Connect the connector of the No. 1 switch wire to the transmission shift switch assembly.

        Align the 3 protrusions on the transmission shift switch assembly with the 3 guides on the steering wheel assembly and lower steering wheel boss cover.

        B004RMI Push in perpendicular

        Push in the transmission shift switch assembly into the steering wheel assembly perpendicular, attach the 2 guides and No. 1 switch wire to the guide and install the transmission shift switch assembly to the steering wheel assembly.

    2. for Transmission Shift Switch Assembly RH Side:

        Connect the connector of the No. 1 switch wire to the transmission shift switch assembly.

        Align the 3 protrusions on the transmission shift switch assembly with the 3 guides on the steering wheel assembly and lower steering wheel boss cover.

        Push in the transmission shift switch assembly into the steering wheel assembly perpendicular, attach the 2 guides and No. 1 switch wire to the guide and install the transmission shift switch assembly to the steering wheel assembly.

      Check the installation condition of the No. 1 switch wire.

      Note:

      Make sure that the No. 1 switch wire does not stick out from the lower steering wheel boss cover.

      Connect the 2 transmission shift switch assemblies with the 2 screws.
