INPUT SHAFT OIL SEAL INSTALLATION

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

CAUTION:

As the engine assembly with transmission is extremely heavy, the engine lifter may suddenly drop if the instructions listed in the repair manual are not followed.

Therefore, always follow the instructions listed in the repair manual when performing this procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL HYBRID VEHICLE TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY TYPE T OIL SEAL


    1. Coat the lip of a new hybrid vehicle transmission assembly type T oil seal with MP grease.

    2. B004X87C02
      *a 1.0 to 1.5 mm (0.0394 to 0.0591 in.)

      Using SST and a hammer, install the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly type T oil seal to the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.

      Note


      • Keep the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly type T oil seal lip free of foreign matter.

      • Do not install the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly type T oil seal at an angle.

      • When installing the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly type T oil seal to the input shaft assembly, do not damage the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly type T oil seal.
