CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

CAUTION:

As the engine assembly with transmission is extremely heavy, the engine lifter may suddenly drop if the instructions listed in the repair manual are not followed.

Therefore, always follow the instructions listed in the repair manual when performing this procedure.

PROCEDURE

    INSTALL GENERATOR CABLE

    Note:

    When installing the generator cable, make sure not to bend the generator cable base on the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly side.


    1. B004VBL

      Using an insulated tool, temporarily install the generator cable to the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly with the 5 bolts.

      Note:

      Keep foreign matter, water, etc., away from the generator cable terminals and their installation area.

      Tip:

      When installing the generator cable, hold the generator cable by hand so that the generator cable base is not bent.

    2. B004RR1

      Using an insulated tool, tighten the generator cable terminals with the 3 bolts.

      8.0 N*m 82 kgf*cm 71 in.*lbf
      Note:

      Keep foreign matter, water, etc., away from the generator cable terminals and their installation area.

      Tip:

      When installing the generator cable, hold the generator cable by hand so that the generator cable base is not bent.

    3. B004R95

      Using an insulated tool, tighten the 2 bolts.

      8.0 N*m 82 kgf*cm 71 in.*lbf
      Note:

      Keep foreign matter, water, etc., away from the generator cable terminals and their installation area.

    4. B004YJK

      Attach the 2 claws to install a new terminal cap to the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.

      Note:

      • Check that the terminal cap is securely installed.

      • Do not pinch the O-ring.

    5. B004WLH

      Using an insulated tool, install the connector cover to the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly with the 2 bolts.

      8.0 N*m 82 kgf*cm 71 in.*lbf
    6. B004VX6

      for LHD:

      Connect the 3 clamps of the generator cable to the engine assembly.

      for RHD:

      Connect the 2 clamps of the generator cable to the engine assembly.
