MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR INSTALLATION

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

If the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly has been struck or dropped, replace the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly with a new one.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (for Stereo Camera Type)

      B004SZX Screw
      B004UK4 Bolt

      Attach the guide.

    2. Temporarily install the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly with the 2 bolts and screw.

    3. Tighten the 2 bolts and screw in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      Bolt
      2.5 N*m  { 25 kgf*cm, 22 in.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (for Mono Camera Type)

    Note

    When the front bumper assembly, radiator grille, millimeter wave radar sensor assembly or No. 1 millimeter wave radar sensor bracket is replaced, check that the position of the manual axis switching mechanism is standard.

      Set beam axis to the standard position.


      1. Turn the bolt so that the beam axis change mechanism is positioned as shown in the illustration.

        Specified Condition
        A
        3.0 to 5.0 mm (0.12 to 0.20 in.)

      Attach the guide.

    3. Temporarily install the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly with the 2 bolts and 2 screws.

    4. Tighten the 2 bolts and 2 screws in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      Bolt
      2.5 N*m  { 25 kgf*cm, 22 in.*lbf }

  3. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY

  4. ADJUST MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY

    Click here


    1. for Mono Camera Type:

      When the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly is replaced, or the No. 1 millimeter wave radar sensor bracket is removed/installed, adjust the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly.

    2. for Stereo Camera Type:

      When the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly is replaced, adjust the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly.
