The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during the object recognition camera removal/installation are shown below.

Note
When replacing the object recognition camera, replace it with a new one.
Do not touch the camera lens or the front windshield glass in front of the camera.
When replacing the windshield glass of a vehicle equipped with an object recognition camera, make sure to use a Lexus genuine part. If a non-Lexus genuine part is used, the object recognition camera may not be able to be installed due to a missing bracket. Also, the dynamic radar cruise control system (for Stereo camera type), front camera system (for Stereo camera type), lane control system (for Stereo camera type), road sign assist system (for Stereo camera type), pre-collision system (for Stereo camera type) or adaptive high beam system may not operate properly due to a difference in the transmissivity or black ceramic border.
Do not touch the hood when replacing the object recognition camera.

REMOVE NO. 2 FORWARD RECOGNITION COVER
Tech Tips
Lower the inner mirror a small amount as shown in the illustration to make work easier to perform.

Detach the claw in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) in the illustration.
Note
If the claw are detached separately they may become damaged. Therefore, remove them at the same time.
Detach the guide in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) in the illustration to remove the No. 2 forward recognition cover.

Place your fingers of both hands at the position shown in the illustration and detach the clip, guide to remove the No. 1 forward recognition cover as shown in the illustration.
Note
Apply even pressure to the left and right sides and press the cover parallel to the glass surface to remove the part.
REMOVE OBJECT RECOGNITION CAMERA
Note
If the object recognition camera has been struck or dropped, replace it with a new one.
Do not touch the hood or lens when replacing the object recognition camera.

Disconnect the 2 connectors.
Note
Do not pull the harness forcibly when disconnecting the connector.
Remove the 3 nuts.
Note
Do not apply excessive force.
If the object recognition camera bracket is deformed or damaged, replace it together with the windshield glass.
