CHECK MANUAL OPERATION
CAUTION:
Be careful not to get pinched by the active rear wing assembly when the active rear wing is operating.
Note
When performing the confirmation driving pattern, obey all speed limits and traffic laws.
Check that the active rear wing system customize setting "Active Rear Wing Control" is set to "Permission" before performing the following procedure.
When the vehicle is stopped
Turn the power switch on (IG).
Check rise operation
Press the spoiler control switch.
Check that the active rear wing rises to the fully raised position and stops.
Tech Tips
Pressing the spoiler control switch while a rise operation is being performed will not stop or retract the active rear wing.
Check that the spoiler control switch indicator light is illuminated.
Check retract operation
Press and hold the spoiler control switch.
Tech Tips
If the spoiler control switch is released before the active rear wing reaches the fully retracted position, the active rear wing will operate in the reverse direction and rise to the fully raised position.
Check that the active rear wing retracts to the fully retracted position and stops.
Tech Tips
The active rear wing starts retracting after the spoiler control switch has been pressed and held for approximately 0.8 seconds.
Check that the spoiler control switch indicator light is not illuminated.
When the vehicle is being driven
Turn the power switch on (READY).
Check rise operation
While driving at a vehicle speed between approximately 20 and 79 km/h (12 and 49 mph)*1 or approximately 20 and 120 km/h (12 and 75 mph)*2, press the spoiler control switch.
*1: When not in ECO mode
*2: When in ECO mode
Check that the active rear wing rises to the fully raised position and stops.
Tech Tips
Pressing the spoiler control switch while a rise operation is being performed will not stop or retract the active rear wing.

Check retract operation
While driving at a vehicle speed between approximately 20 and 120 km/h (12 and 75 mph), press the spoiler control switch.
Check that the active rear wing retracts to the fully retracted position and stops.

Pressing the spoiler control switch while a retract operation is being performed will not stop or raise the active rear wing.
Check that the spoiler control switch indicator light is not illuminated.

Check rise operation
When the vehicle speed reaches approximately 80 km/h (50 mph) or more*1 or approximately 130 km/h (81 mph) or more*2, check that the active rear wing rises to the fully raised position and stops.
Tech Tips
If the vehicle speed drops to below approximately 40 km/h (25 mph) while a rise operation is being performed, the active rear wing will not retract until after it reaches the fully raised position.

Check that the spoiler control switch indicator light is illuminated.
Check retract operation
When the vehicle speed drops below approximately 40 km/h (25 mph), check that the active rear wing retracts to the fully retracted position and stops.
Tech Tips
If the vehicle speed reaches approximately 80 km/h (50 mph) or more*1 or approximately 130 km/h (81 mph) or more*2 while a retract operation is being performed, the active rear wing will not rise until after it reaches the fully retracted position.
