ACTIVE REAR WING SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
Manual operation
The rise/retract operation of the active rear wing can be operated manually by pressing the spoiler control switch.
Automatic operation
Auto rise/retract operation
When the vehicle reaches the specified vehicle speed for the selected driving mode, the active rear wing will rise/retract automatically.
Tech Tips
When not in ECO mode: The active rear wing rises at approximately 80 km/h (50 mph) and retracts at approximately 40 km/h (25 mph).
When in ECO mode: The active rear wing rises at approximately 130 km/h (81 mph) and retracts at approximately 40 km/h (25 mph).
Resume operation
If the vehicle is stopped with the active rear wing in the fully raised position, the active rear wing will retract automatically the next time the vehicle speed reaches approximately 25 km/h (16 mph) or more. If the vehicle is stopped with the active rear wing not in the fully raised position or fully retracted position, the active rear wing will rise automatically the next time the vehicle speed reaches approximately 25 km/h (16 mph) or more.
Auto rise/retract operation permission/prohibition
If the spoiler control switch is operated at vehicle speed near the vehicle speed specified for the auto rise or retract operation, the active rear wing may rise/retract repeatedly.
To prevent this from happening, automatic operation will be temporarily prohibited when the spoiler control switch is operated at the vehicle speeds shown in the table below and will return to normal when the conditions shown in the "Auto Rise/Retract Operation Return Condition" column of the table are met.
| Temporary Auto Rise/Retract Operation Prohibition Condition | Auto Rise/Retract Operation Return Condition |
