  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL HEADLIGHT GASKET

    Note


    • If the headlight gasket has been removed, replace it with a new one.

    • When installing a new headlight gasket, use static electricity countermeasures SST (desktop anti-static mat set) and observe all precautions to prevent damage to the system by electrostatic discharge (ESD).

    1. Install a new headlight gasket to the No. 1 headlight light ECU sub-assembly LH.

  2. INSTALL NO. 1 HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

    • If the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH has been dropped, replace it with a new one.

    • When installing the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH, use static electricity countermeasures SST (desktop anti-static mat set) and observe all precautions to prevent damage to the system by electrostatic discharge (ESD).

    1. Connect the connector.

      Note

      Do not drop the connector in the headlight assembly LH.

    2. Return the connector cover to its original position.

    3. Install the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH with the 3 screws.

  3. INSTALL HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH

  4. PERFORM REGISTRATION

    • If any of the work in the table below has been performed, vehicle information registration of the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH is necessary.

      Performed Work or System Condition Necessary Procedures
      Replacement of the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH Vehicle information registration for the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH

    • A new No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH cannot operate until the vehicle information is registered.

    • After replacing the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH, it is necessary to register the vehicle information.

    • Even if the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly RH is replaced with a new one, vehicle information registration is not necessary.

    • Vehicle information registration must be performed with the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) and hybrid vehicle control ECU connected via CAN communication.
