FRONT BUMPER INSTALLATION

Tech Tips

When the front bumper is damaged or deformed due to an accident or contact with other objects, etc., or the bumper installation area on the body is repaired, it is necessary to perform millimeter wave radar sensor adjustment.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER

      B004B1M Install in this Direction (1)
      B004CNL Install in this Direction (2)
      B004CG0 Protective Tape

      Connect the headlight cleaner hose as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

    2. Apply protective tape around the front bumper cover.

    3. Attach the claws to temporarily install the front bumper cover.

      Note

      Do not damage the front bumper assembly.

      Connect the connector of the front turn signal light assembly.

      Note

      Do not pull on the front fender liner too hard when folding back the edge.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

      Attach the claws to install the front bumper cover as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

    6. Remove the protective tape.

      w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System:


      1. Connect the connector of the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly.

      Attach the clips and install the radiator grille protector.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

      Install the 2 clips and 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.5 N*m  { 76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }

      Install the 8 screws.

      Install the front side bumper retainer.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.


      1. Attach the clips to install the front side bumper retainer LH as shown in the illustration.

      2. Install the screw.

      3. Install the clip to the front fender liner.

      Install the front bumper cover with the 3 pin hold clips.

      Note


      • Insert the pin hold clip with the slot aligned vertically.

      • Do not rotate the pin hold clip after inserting it.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  2. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT TO FRAME SEAL RH

      Attach the guides and claws and install the radiator support to frame seal RH.

    2. Install the 6 clips.

  3. INSTALL LOWER RADIATOR AIR DEFLECTOR

    1. Attach the guides and claw and install the lower radiator air deflector.

    2. Install the 9 clips.

  4. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH

      Attach the guides and claws and install the engine room side cover LH.

    2. Install the 3 clips.

  5. ADD WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID

  6. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  7. PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK


    1. When disassembly the front bumper assembly:

  8. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT


    1. When disassembly the front bumper assembly:
