FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during the front bumper assembly removal/installation are shown below.

When the front bumper is damaged or deformed due to an accident or contact with other objects, etc., or the bumper installation area on the body is repaired, it is necessary to perform millimeter wave radar sensor adjustment.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH

      Remove the 3 clips.

    2. Detach the guides and claws and remove the engine room side cover LH.

  2. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT TO FRAME SEAL RH

      Remove the 6 clips.

    2. Detach the guides and claws and remove the radiator support to frame seal RH.

  3. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR AIR DEFLECTOR

      Remove the 9 clips.

    2. Detach the guides and claws and remove the lower radiator air deflector.

  4. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER

      B004CG0 Protective Tape

      Apply protective tape around the front bumper cover.

      *a 90°

      Using a screwdriver, turn the pin hold clip 90° and remove the 3 pin hold clips.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

      B004B1M Remove in this Direction

      Remove the front side bumper retainer LH.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.


      1. Remove the clip from the front fender liner.

      2. Remove the screw.

      3. Remove the clips and front bumper side retainer LH as shown in the illustration.

      Remove the 8 screws.

      Remove the 4 bolts.

    6. Remove the 2 clips.

      B004B1M Separate Direction

      Detach the clips and separate the radiator grill protector.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

      w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System:


      1. Disconnect the connector of the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly.

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, detach the claw while pulling toward the outside of the vehicle and remove the front bumper cover as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

    10. B004CK5

      Disconnect the connector of the front turn signal light assembly.

      Note

      When folding back the edge of the front fender liner, do not pull too hard.

      Detach the claws and remove the front bumper cover as shown in the illustration.

    12. Disconnect the headlight cleaner hose.

      • Prepare a container before performing the procedure.

      • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
