PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT LICENSE PLATE LIGHT SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Component without harness connected

      (License Plate Light Assembly)

      for LH Side:


      1. Apply 6.0 V (4 dry cell batteries in series) to the connector and check the illumination conditions.

        OK
        Dry Cell Battery Connection Specified Condition

        Positive (+) → 2 (B)

        Negative (-) → 1 (E)

        		 License plate light sub-assembly illuminates
        If the result is not as specified, replace the license plate light sub-assembly.

        Note

        Do not apply more than 6.0 V.

      Component without harness connected

      (License Plate Light Assembly)

      for RH Side:


      1. Apply 6.0 V (4 dry cell batteries in series) to the connector and check the illumination conditions.

        OK
        Dry Cell Battery Connection Specified Condition

        Positive (+) → 1 (B)

        Negative (-) → 2 (E)

        		 License plate light sub-assembly illuminates
        If the result is not as specified, replace the license plate light sub-assembly.

        Note

        Do not apply more than 6.0 V.
