  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL SWITCH HOUSING

      If reusing the steering wheel switch housing:


      1. Using pliers, support the band clamp while loosened and set the steering wheel switch housing.

        B004B1M Install in this Direction

        Push the steering wheel switch housing forward to attach the claw to install it.

      3. B004BJA

        Tighten the band clamp.

    2. If install a new steering wheel switch housing:


      1. B004BG6

        Set the steering wheel switch in place.

        B004B1M Install in this Direction

        Push the steering wheel switch housing forward to attach the claw to install it.

      3. B004A6LC01
        B004B1M Remove in this Direction

        Remove the pin to tighten the band clamp.

  2. INSTALL TURN SIGNAL SWITCH

  3. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

  4. INSTALL TILT AND TELESCOPIC SWITCH

  5. INSTALL SPIRAL WITH SENSOR CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  7. INSTALL NO. 2 DECK BOARD

  8. PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK

  9. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
