SWITCH HOUSING INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT STEERING WHEEL SWITCH HOUSING (for Headlight Dimmer Switch LH Side Type)

   
   

   1. Check the resistance.

      
      

      1. Inspect the light switch circuit.

         Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         

         *a

         Component without harness connected (Steering Wheel Switch Housing)

         -

         -

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition C-2 (L_OFF) - A-2 (L_OFF) Always Below 1 Ω C-3 (T) - A-14 (T) C-4 (H) - A-5 (H) C-5 (A) - A-10 (A) C-6 (HU) - A-1 (HU) C-7 (HF) - A-6 (HF) C-12 (B) - A-13 (B) C-13 (EL) - A-12 (EL) C-14 (AHB) - A-16 (AHB) C-15 (BLED) - A-15 (BLED) C-16 (ELED) - A-7 (ELED) If the result is not as specified, replace the steering wheel switch housing.

      2. Inspect the turn signal switch circuit.

         Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Component without harness connected (Steering Wheel Switch Housing)

         -

         -

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition C-8 (TR) - A-9 (TR) Always Below 1 Ω C-9 (TL) - A-3 (TL) C-10 (CR) - A-11 (CR) C-13 (EL) - A-12 (EL) If the result is not as specified, replace the steering wheel switch housing.

      3. Inspect the wiper switch circuit.

         Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         -

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition C-24 (W_OFF) - B-10 (W_OFF) Always Below 1 Ω C-25 (+S) - B-13 (+S) C-26 (+1) - B-11 (+1) C-27 (+2) - B-12 (+2) C-28 (MIST) - B-14 (MIST) C-29 (C1R) - B-7 (C1R) C-30 (+1R) - B-6 (+1R) C-31 (WF) - B-15 (WF) C-32 (WR) - B-9 (WR) C-33 (E) - B-5 (E) C-34 (VR) - B-4 (VR) If the result is not as specified, replace the steering wheel switch housing.

2. INSPECT STEERING WHEEL SWITCH HOUSING (for Headlight Dimmer Switch RH Side Type)

   
   

   1. Check the resistance.

      
      

      1. Inspect the light switch circuit.

         Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         -

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition C-2 (L_OFF) - B-15 (L_OFF) Always Below 1 Ω C-3 (T) - B-3 (T) C-4 (H) - B-12 (H) C-5 (A) - B-7 (A) C-6 (HU) - B-16 (HU) C-7 (HF) - B-11 (HF) C-12 (B) - B-4 (B) C-13 (EL) - B-5 (EL) C-14 (AHB) - B-1 (AHB) C-15 (BLED) - B-2 (BLED) C-16 (ELED) - B-10 (ELED) If the result is not as specified, replace the steering wheel switch housing.

      2. Inspect the turn signal switch circuit.

         Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Component without harness connected (Steering Wheel Switch Housing)

         -

         -

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition C-8 (TR) - B-8 (TR) Always Below 1 Ω C-9 (TL) - B-14 (TL) C-10 (CR) - B-6 (CR) C-13 (EL) - B-5 (EL) If the result is not as specified, replace the steering wheel switch housing.

      3. Inspect the wiper switch circuit.

         Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition C-24 (W_OFF) - A-15 (W_OFF) Always Below 1 Ω C-25 (+S) - A-12 (+S) C-26 (+1) - A-14 (+1) C-27 (+2) - A-13 (+2) C-28 (MIST) - A-11 (MIST) C-29 (C1R) - A-2 (C1R) C-30 (+1R) - A-3 (+1R) C-31 (WF) - A-10 (WF) C-32 (WR) - A-16 (WR) C-33 (E) - A-4 (E) C-34 (VR) - A-5 (VR) If the result is not as specified, replace the steering wheel switch housing.
